Hypocrisy Haiku

I’m bored of moral
Outrage over adult flesh
Given with consent

I’m horrified by
Moral ambivalence when
Consent’s not given

You are blind to both
By choice to avoid your own
Selfish discomfort

Beauty and consent
Power and autono(my)
Voice and choice denied

No more is it yours
To choose which kind of “she” we
Are allowed to be

  1. Indeed

    • We ignore it when little girls are forced to be sexual, but get so outraged when adult consenting women take proud control of their sexuality. We want women to “love their bodies” but God forbid we have to actually see a female human body. Makes me crazy! But then you already knew all that.

      • I did. It depresses me, the dual standards, the stunning hypocricy – particularly of my own sex. There is nothing wrong with nudity, or semi mudity, or a woman dressing how she wishes. It is not an excuse or an invitation for sex. It does not imply looseness of morals. It is pride in being a woman

  2. The only thing wrong with this is that it isn’t written in uppercase letters. Bravo and Kudos to you.
