The above is a poem written by my daughter about holding our 20 year old cat, Oliver, as he died tonight. I am so proud of her for so many reasons…but mostly because she was so brave and unafraid to be with death. I could not have written better words than she tonight.

  1. Beautiful

    • Thank you. It was pretty tough, but she was so brave. She asked to hold him while he passed. And she stayed present with him, even as she cried.

  2. beautiful

    • Thank you. It was heart wrenching, but beautiful. I wish we could all go like that, in the arms of someone who loves us and who is present with our passing.
